When you submit a story to the MAG short story writing contest, you agree to accept the terms and conditions set out below. Since, these Terms and Conditions may be updated by us from time to time without prior notice to you, so we recommend you check them regularly.
- Your grant us the rights to publish your story on http://magcontest.com , http://themag.in and in paperback form, depending upon the stage your short story qualifies for.
- You agree that The MAG may at its sole discretion edit the story for the purpose of publishing it in paperback form.
- You grant us the first publishing rights i.e. you will not publish your story anywhere else unless it has been published by The MAG first.
- Out of the total entries received, 50 stories will be selected on the basis of the comments received, Re-Tweets they get, and other criteria set by the editorial staff of The MAG. The decision of the editorial staff will be final and no correspondence in the regard will be entertained.
- The Jury of five independent personalities will choose the final 20 stories that will eventually be published in paperback form. Their decision will be final, and cannot be challenged.
- You must comply with all the rules set out under the submission guidelines and under these Terms and Conditions for your entries to be eligible for the competition.
- Obscene, fraudulent, or entries that hurt religious sentiments of any group will be automatically disqualified.
- The MAG reserves the right to cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary.
- The MAG reserves the right to reject your entry to the competition for any reason at its absolute discretion.
